Re: Keyboard equivalents
I have never understood the decision to make Control-U the equivalent for
closing the topmost window. This keypress is probably one of the most
commonly used, and yet it is impossible to type with one hand (unless you
use your thumb, like I sometimes have to.) The most commonly used keyboard
equivalents should be typeable with just the left hand, so that the right
hand can be on the mouse. ^Q, ^F and ^S are this way, and work quite well.
I suggest using ^W to close windows, and a different keypress to cycle
them. Granted, this would make it difficult for all of the German programs
which already use ^U, but I suppose there would have been other cases where
conflicts exist, anyway.
The remainder of the equivalents listed seem to be fine to me.
